NaTHNaC team updates
NaTHNaC is pleased to share a number of important staff announcements

Farewell to Dr Lisa Ford
After an extraordinary 23 years of dedicated service to NaTHNaC, we warmly say goodbye to Dr Lisa Ford, who is retiring at the end of August 2025. Her unwavering commitment, wisdom and compassionate leadership have shaped NaTHNaC's work since 2002. She will be greatly missed by all the team, and we extend our heartfelt thanks and wish her all the best in her new adventures.
New appointments
To ensure continuity after Lisa's retirement, we are very pleased that our travel medicine consultant Dr Catherine Smith, and our associate specialist Dr Paola Cinardo, have agreed to provide additional medical support, guidance and expertise.
We are delighted to announce that Lynda Bramham and Rose Tucker have been jointly appointed as Senior Specialist Nurses. With their extensive expertise in travel health and proven leadership, Lynda and Rose are exceptionally well placed to continue guiding and supporting the nurse team. Their dedication to excellence and collaborative spirit remains invaluable as they take on this shared role.
We are also very happy to welcome Michelle Sellors as a permanent Travel Health Specialist Nurse. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and skill in both travel medicine and public health, and we are fortunate to have her strengthening the team on a long-term basis.
