The outbreak of Lassa fever is rapidly expanding, with the number of new reported cases increasing weekly and new states being affected. Between 1 January and 2 February 2020, a total of 1,226 suspected cases were reported. Among these, a total of 365 confirmed cases were recorded from 23 states.
