Chikungunya in China
As of 27 September 2025, China has reported a total of 16,452 confirmed chikungunya cases in Guangdong province during 2025. Cases have been reported in 21 cities in the province with the highest numbers in Foshan, Jiangmen, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhanjiang, Zhuhai and Zhongshan City. Additionally, during September 2025, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region reported 297 local cases; Fujian Province reported 124 local cases; and some other provinces (such as Hunan, Sichuan, and Hainan provinces) also reported a few local cases. Chikungunya in China
As of 3 August 2025, China has reported a total of 4,824 confirmed chikungunya across 12 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong province.
