Samoa

Dengue in Samoa

As of 2 June 2025, a total of 211 confirmed dengue cases, with one associated death, have been reported in Samoa since this outbreak began in April 2025. The majority of cases are in the urban area of Apia and northwestern Upolu. Out of 20 cases with confirmed serotypes, 85% are dengue virus type 1 (DENV-1) and 15% are dengue virus type 2 (DENV2).
