Chikungunya in France
On 16 June 2025, Sante Publique France reported a second autochthonous case of chikungunya in mainland France in 2025. The case was detected in Herault and is the first locally acquired case in the Occitaine Region this season. Since 1 May 2025, 59 travel associated chikungunya cases have been reported in the region. The first autochthonous case of chikungunya in mainland France in 2025 was reported on 13 June 2025 in the commune of La Crau, in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur Region.
