Chikungunya in France
On 25 June 2025, Sante Publique France reported a total of eight locally acquired cases of chikungunya since 27 May 2025. Cases have been reported from four different provinces in the south of the country. Two cases in Occitane (Hérault and Gard); three cases in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur (Var and Bouches-du Rhône), one case in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (Drôme) and two cases on the island of Corisca (Corse du Sud).
