Chikungunya in France
On 2 July 2025, Sante Publique France reported a total of 14 locally acquired cases of chikungunya since 1 May 2025. Cases have been reported from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Corsica, Occitanie and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and for the first time, Grand Est region. A further case in a child with no travel history has been reported by local health authorities in Girode, Nouvelle-Aquitaine on 2 July 2025.
