Chikungunya in Suriname

As of 10 February 2026, a total of 712 suspected (327 confirmed) cases of chikungunya, including one death, have been reported from Suriname. Confirmed cases have been reported from four districts: Paramaribo, Commewijne, Nickerie and Wanica. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on chikungunya.
